Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
Almost everything we hold from this website is something you typed into it. We do not buy visitor lists and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
When you fill in a form
Our quote and contact forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, the kind of coverage you are asking about, your current carrier, when you would like coverage to start, and anything you write in the notes or message box.
When you use the chat assistant
The assistant asks for your name and a phone number or email address, plus the details of your request. Depending on what you came for, that might be the vehicle you bought, a short description of your farm or business, or a few sentences about a loss.
Automatically
Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you looked at, and the time you were here. Our hosting provider uses this to serve the site and to block abuse.
What we do not ask for on this website. The chat assistant is built never to request your Social Security number, a payment card number, or a full driver's license number, and it refuses messages containing them rather than storing them. Do not send those through this website or the chat. If we need them, we will ask you by phone or in the office.
2. The chat assistant
The assistant on this site follows a fixed script. It is not an artificial intelligence system, it does not learn from your conversation, and your messages are not used to train anything. It cannot tell you what your policy covers, and it will not try. Coverage questions go to a licensed member of our staff.
When you finish a request, the assistant stores it so our team can act on it. That record holds your name, the contact details you gave, and what you asked for. Our staff read it through a password-protected page that is not accessible to the public.
We also keep a record of the conversation itself, so we can see where the assistant falls short and make it better. Names, phone numbers and email addresses are removed from that record before it is saved. It is kept for 120 days and read only by our staff and the people who maintain this website.
3. How we use it
- To answer your question, quote your coverage, or handle your request
- To reach you about something you asked us about
- To service policies you already hold with us
- To keep records that insurance regulation requires us to keep
- To keep the website working and protect it from abuse
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it for advertising.
4. Who else sees it
To do the job you asked us to do, we share what is necessary with:
- Insurance carriers and their underwriters, when we shop your rate, place your coverage, or report a claim on your behalf
- Companies that run parts of our business, such as our website host and our agency management software, under agreements that limit what they may do with it
- Regulators, auditors and law enforcement, where the law requires it
5. Other companies on this site
Some parts of this website are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies receive your IP address and can set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies rather than ours:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers its pages and stored requests.
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces used on these pages.
- Meta (Facebook) supplies the Facebook feed embedded on several pages. Meta can recognize visitors who are signed in to Facebook.
- Google Maps powers the map and directions links.
- Nationwide and Safeco host the express quote tools we link to. Once you follow one of those links you are on their website, under their privacy policy.
We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording on this site.
6. Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Your browser may store a small amount of information so the chat assistant remembers whether it has already greeted you during your visit. The staff page uses a sign-in cookie, which only our team ever receives. The third-party services listed above may set their own cookies, which you can control through your browser settings.
7. How long we keep it
We keep requests made through this website for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet the record-keeping rules that apply to licensed insurance agencies in Ohio. If you ask us to delete a website enquiry that did not become a policy, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
8. How we protect it
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Requests submitted through it are stored with our hosting provider and reached through a password-protected staff page. We limit access to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
9. Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong
- Ask us to delete a website enquiry, where we are not required to keep it
- Tell us to stop contacting you about a quote you no longer want
- Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies

10. Your policy information
This page is about the website. As a licensed insurance agency we are also required to give clients a separate privacy notice covering the personal financial information we hold in connection with your policies, including how it is shared and your right to limit that sharing. If you hold a policy through us and would like a copy of that notice, ask us and we will send it.
11. Children
This website is meant for adults arranging insurance. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something through this site, contact us and we will remove it.
